Hey so I pierced my own ear last night.

Any cleaning/pain reliever suggestions?

I am cleaning it with ear care solution that I had gotten with my last piercing.

My right ear is sore though.

Suggestions?

take it out, let it heal, never pierce yourself again, go to an APP certified shop and get it done professionally.

did you get it done at an APP certified shop? if so then cleanliness isn’t the worry. you shouldn’t be cleaning it or touching it at All this early. cleaning it can damamge what little healing it’s made thus far and will only irritate it. if you Did go to an APP certified shop, go back and talk to your piercer. if not, go and Find an APP piercer and talk to them. dont touch it, could lead to infection. goodluck, best wishes.

So, I’ve had my rook piercing for about 4 years now….

and it STILL gets red & tender sometimes when I sleep on it weird or move it. I don’t know if the curve of the bar puts pressure on the cartilage and irritates it that way or what, but it’s really annoying and want it to stop.

curved bar is a must. dont get a straight one. and it’s because you’re sleeping on it. if it’s healed, take it out when you sleep. it’s good to remove your jewelry when you sleep anyway to allow air flow.

GOD DAMNIT! she doesn’t look like she Wants this. and she sure as hell doens’t Need it! you can transfer staff infections like that! blunt forced trauma to your ears is Bad: they’re a Bitch to heal, and if you ever take them out they’ll heal over within a week, no matter How long you’ve had them pierced. piercing guns contain blood vapors because you Can’t clean them!

this is cruel. using a piercing gun at all is cruel. using it on a baby who may or may not even Want to have their ears pierced is worse. why can’t They choose to get piercings. they don’t need their parents deciding how they’re going to look. let them choose. god damnit, this pisses me off.
